Krist Dragot was born in Kastoria - Greece on August 26 - 1991, in an environment with a tradition in the field of painting - music and show business. Later, emigrating to Belgium, he currently lives between Tirana and Brussels, where he engages in his artistic activities and projects. Dragot’s work is multidimensional, covering multiple themes at once - but all related in some way or another.
He studied Political Science at the VUB in Brussels and Graphic Design at LUCA in Brussels but soon realised that it was too formal and rigid for him and that he needed an art form that would give him more freedom.
The subjects of his works range usually from concepts like dehumanisation and contemporary topics like parasocial relationships - cancel culture - fast fashion trends and the whole social media landscape, but also complex social issues as mass immigration, gender identity and their consequences in our modern societies. His attention is divided between the somber state of the current generational trends and the upsetting and paradoxical need of people to comply - clearly reflecting his black and white combination of choice. Figures and portraits always the owner of dismorphed and distressed features. Bodies imperfect and malfunctioning. Catwalks full of freaks and perverted minds. Social experiments unravelling on paper or canvas.
